YOUR SAFETY IS OUR NO 1. PRIORITY!

So here in one quick reference section are links to all the safety information on the Coastrek website.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The St Johns number has been changed to 0414 376 615. Save it in your phone NOW! Please note, the number is now incorrect on current Coastrek Maps and bibs.

Please make sure all your team members are very familiar with this information as your safety, enjoyment and satisfaction in reaching the finish line is proportionate to how much time you invest in educating yourself on the unique challenges of an endurance event like Coastrek.

Each trekker will be required to bring a completed and signed  Risk Waiver/Medical Form to registration on event day. It is a requirement that you ensure you are physically fit to undertake this event and that you have not been advised otherwise by a medical practtoner. You are also required to declare any medications you are taking and whether you have any allergies.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT CLOTHING AND GEAR:

Below are two suggestions for clothing, gear and footwear.  It's best to choose what works for you and train in it. The first picture shows normal summer weather gear and the second is for more extreme conditions eg heat or rain (Perception of too hot is very individual).

Your clothing and gear will really impact on your enjoyment and blister management for your Coastrek event so we can't stress enough how important it is to not wait until event weekend to try new things.  Please refer to the Coastrek Training Manual for further details.
