Volunteer for Sydney Coastrek 2012!
As you can imagine it takes an AMAZING team of people to make an
event like Wild Women on Top Sydney Coastrek come to life! Come the
actual day of the event ... we need an ARMY of people to make it
all happen. This is where you guys come in!
Whether you are friends and family, WWOT members, inquisitive
future participants, or just want to get involved... we need
you!
Volunteering is a great way
to be part of this exciting and rapidly growing Wild Women on Top
Sydney Coastrek event. You will meet new people and bond with old
friends - and it can be your way to play a vital role in raising
money for The Fred Hollows
Foundation and making a real difference!
During the event, volunteers will work in a variety of different
roles. Some of these include:
- Route Marshal: Provide directions and
information to participants out on the trail and assist with road
crossings where required. Encourage and cheer teams on as they
pass. Work in pairs - great to do with a friend.
- Communication Officers: Enable effective
communication between competitors, checkpoints and support
crews
- Certificate Presenter: Be the person that
everyone is happy to see!
- Sweep Teams: Work in teams to ensure that all
competitors have left the trail and the track free of litter.
- Drivers x 3: Pick up and
deliver supplies and equipment between Palm Beach, Long Reef,
Balmoral, Rose Bay and Coogee - Friday 2nd - 3rd March 2012. Class
C licence + good driving record + ability to load and unload.
- Check in/out operators: Check participants in
and out of the checkpoints.
