Final training session
Last training session with Cathy Rennie Matos, Georgina Dawson and Gabriella Bonanno, and boy was it a good one! Had to get up early but it was worth it to see the morning rays of sunlight shining through the beautiful trees in the Dandenong Ranges. Less enjoyable was the '1000 Steps' (pictured) we took to get up there, and some of the 45-degree angle sections of bush track that made me feel more like I was climbing rather than hiking, but nonetheless, a fantastic opportunity to prepare for the big day coming up this Friday. Thanks to everyone for your donations and support!
The not-so-pink Salt Water Lake
A brisk powerwalk meant we were just able to catch the tail end of the sunset over Salt Water Lake in Port Melbourne after work last night. While the famous pink hue was not as evident as in social media posts due the limited lighting, it still proved to be a picturesque moment in our 6km training session.
Mother's Day in the You Yangs
Even though it was a bit grey, really appreciated my family's support on the weekend in combining our Mother's Day celebrations with a mini trek in the You Yangs. Special shout out to my incredible mum who continues to kick new fitness goals every week!
Scenic training session around Albert Park
Despite the prospect of showers, pushed on with a mini, 5km training session with Cathy Rennie Matos, Duchesne Markham and Gabriella Bonanno last night. Good thing we did, too, as if we hadn't, we would've missed this stunning sunset!
Kicking off the training
Better late than never! Enjoyed some great weather doing this 11km return trip along the beach from Port Melbourne to St Kilda and back with Georgina Dawson and Cathy Rennie Matos.
