Training Days - Fred Hollows Foundation 30 km Coastrek Walk
Some friends of mine have 'roped' me in to take part in Melbourne Coastrek this year. We are registered for the 30 km walk which takes in some beautiful scenery around Point Nepean on Mornington Peninsula. I say 'roped' as my initial reaction was 'No, I can't walk 30 kms in a day!' But I have some wonderful, if not persistent, friends who were not willing to take no for an answer! Besides, it feels great to be raising money for such a worthy cause as the Fred Hollows Foundation. Individually we are required to raise $500 each, or $2000 as a team.
We have formed two teams of four participants and named our teams 'On Track One' and 'On Track Two'. Together we have been gradually building up the distance of training walks on different terrains. The training walks on the weeks ahead are set to become more difficult, but we are committed to help one another as a Team, to conquer these hurdles along the way.
This journey of ours as a Team is lots of fun as we train and fundraise.
We would appreciate any sponsorship you can offer us. Donations are tax deductible of course!!
Or why not come to our Coastrek Fundraiser on Sunday 7th April 2019 3pm at 36 Heron Court Ringwood North.
