My target 30kms

I’m taking on Sydney Coastrek!

I am taking part in Sydney Coastrek, the ultimate team trekking and fundraising challenge, proudly supporting Beyond Blue.

Did you know that three million people in Australia are living with anxiety and depression?

Every donation helps and makes a significant impact to mental health and wellbeing in Australia, so thank you for your generosity.

My Updates

Less than 3 weeks to go...

Sunday 8th Mar

With less than three weeks until the 30km Coastrek walk for mental health in Sydney, yesterday we took the training up a notch. Pom Kimber and I walked the Cape Schanck Bushrangers Bay track where we saw a tiger snake, kangaroos and a lizard 🐍 🦘🦎. Yes, it was a little more than we bargained for, but a great walk where we also chatted to people along the way and shared many a friendly greeting.

Blown away by the generosity

Saturday 29th Feb

The generosity of friends and family has completely blown me away, so I say a big thank you to everyone.

Mental health has touched my life in so many ways - as I know it has for many others - so this walk is very close to my heart. The training is also doing wonders for my own mental health. I've had time to think, chat to friends, listen to great podcasts and experience beautiful scenary.

I highly recommend it and feel very grateful.

6 weeks to go!

Friday 14th Feb

With only 6 weeks to go until the big day, we're ramping up the training. Feeling equal parts excited and nervous!!

I had a lovely 7km walk along the Merri Creek trail Wednesday night - listening to ABC's Conversations as I went! A definite upside for my own mental health. Looking forward to a longer walker with the rest of the Merri Walkers gang.

Thank you to my Sponsors

Anything that individuals can do that will support the services offered to assist people facing depression and other forms of severe stress, affecting growing numbers in our population, will do something to help the cause by keeping the issue in the forefront of our concern. Action has to follow and that involves public and philanthropic contributions, in partnership with governments. We wish our intrepid walkers great success and hope that they will be backed by a generous spirit of giving.
