Canberra Coastrek 2020

We are still the top team! Let's stay there!

Hi all - whilst we are still the top team in Coastrek Canberra, sponsorship has dropped off ie there have been no donations in recent weeks, maybe months?
Coastrek WILL go ahead once we get rid of this nasty COVID which is impacting on everyone, and Bronte's Bunch is rearing to walk.
Suffice to say, the impact of COVID has significant ramifications for people suffering from mental health and co-morbifity issues.
I have not heard the statistics of the increase in suicides during this torrid time, however, I am confident there has been a saddening increase due to so may people in our community who are isolated and receiving little or no support.
Please keep this in mind, and again, consider donating the cost of the coffees you may not be having if you are working from home, the money saved through not paying for parking or public transport fees.
Mental Health does not discriminate by age, gender, race, culture, sexuality or class status. And it is becoming an epidemic in our society.
Sorry about the rant, however, as a community, we need to get on top of this and assist some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
On behalf of Bronte's Bunch, we thank you...

Let's keep going, for Bronte and so so many others!!

Hi All

Just checking in. Sponsors have gone a bit quiet, so I'm trying to shake things up a bit.

The corona has taken over the world, which makes it more timely to think about those who suffer from MH issues, particularly anxiety and depression. I know, as I am one of them.

I hope you like the photo of Bronte and her little brother, Bailey, taken at Bailey's Year 10 formal. Love this pic!!

Please consider donating the cost of a coffee, or the cost of a coffee machine - every penny counts............

Cheers, and thanks.

We are the top team!!

Awesome news - Bronte's Bunch is on top of the leaderboard for Coastrek - let's keep it that way!! Please sponsor us to help this wonderful organisation.

Janine (Bronte's mum) xoxo

I'm taking on Canberra Coastrek!

I'm taking part in Canberra Coastrek, proudly supporting Beyond Blue.

Did you know that three million people in Australia are living with anxiety and depression?

Every donation helps and makes a significant impact to mental health and wellbeing in Australia, so thank you for your generosity.

Bronte Elouise Haskins was a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a grand daughter, a friend and loving fur baby mother of 'Chief' and 'Cav'.

Despite being a beautiful, gregarious, intelligent and funny young woman, Bronte suffered from mental health issues, and life dealt her a lot of curve balls, which were difficult to overcome.

Fly free beautiful Poppy - we love and miss you;  you are always in our hearts and always in our thoughts xoxo.
