How our Fleurieu Peninsula event works

When it comes to charity walks, Fleurieu Peninsula's locals know that Coastrek’s endurance racing and hiking events are fun, challenging, and oh-so-rewarding.

If you’re ready to step outside your comfort zone and rise to the occasion, join us for an upcoming Fleurieu Peninsula event. Together, we can empower each other to get fit and feel our very best both inside and out – all while raising much-needed funds for the Heart Foundation, one of the country’s most incredible foundations.

So, how do our charity walks in Fleurieu Peninsula work? Our endurance racing and hiking events typically unfold like this:

  • Locals get together and join teams of four
  • Each team pledges to raise $500 per person, or $2,000 as a group
  • Now, the fun part. Teams put their minds together to come up with fun, exciting fundraising ideas that’ll help them meet their target
  • Then, teams from across the region attend the event, where they complete a 35km trek

It’s that simple!

A hiking event about having fun and raising money

Our Fleurieu Peninsula events are not competitive. Your team’s goal isn’t to out-run or out-walk other teams. Instead, it’s about coming together, giving it your best go, improving your physical and mental wellbeing, and – of course – having a whole bunch of fun in the process.

Are you feeling inspired? Are you ready to commit to something challenging, an event that’ll push your personal limits? Fantastic.

Get your team together today. You might also like to follow along with our easy-to-follow 12-week training program. That way, you’ll be in tip-top shape come the big day.

Hike for Healthy Hearts

Starting your Coastrek journey is quick and easy – and we promise it’ll be well worth it. Start now or get in contact with our friendly, dedicated support team.

If you interested in helping out, ask us about our upcoming volunteer opportunities in your local area. We’re always ready to welcome new recruits onboard!
