Sydney Coastrek 2021 - 30km

I’m taking on Sydney Coastrek!

We’re taking on Sydney Coastrek to raise money for Beyond Blue!

We are so excited and proud to be doing Sydney Coastrek 2020, the ultimate team trekking and fundraising challenge, proudly supporting Beyond Blue.

Our team committed to this walk in the Spring of 2019, as we gathered in the Blue Mountains, well before any fires or floods came upon this land. We have held back from fundraising for this event, as crisis has called available donations to many other needed areas. Now that the immediate threat is over and support is required for recovery, collecting funds for Beyond Blue is more important than ever. The mental health services are a crucial part of the recovery effort for those impacted by the fires and floods.

The work that Beyond Blue does to support mental health is amazing. Support that is available whenever someone is in crisis is so important, as those crisis moments often hit outside normal office hours. Also crucial is Beyond Blue's work in raising social awareness and reducing the stigma of mental health challenges, which has made it easier for people to reach out for help. The donations we raise will help people continue to access support services for free, 24/7.

Looking after our own physical and mental wellbeing (and empowering others to do the same!) is also great motivation for taking part in this Coastrek adventure. So lucky we get to do it with our team of four Mermaid Sisters - women who bring out the best in each other, have held space for one another, and are an important part of our lives.

So, while we prepare for our moonlight trek along Sydney’s stunning coastline, we would be very grateful for any support you can give to help Beyond Blue continue their fantastic work!

Thanks so much for your generosity. Together, we’re making a difference!
