My Story

About me!

Hi!  Thank you for visiting my page and taking the time to read this.  I hope that you will sponsor me and/or my team the 'Tush Toners', and help us raise funds for a cause close to my heart, The Fred Hollows Foundation.

As some of you will know, I have a condition known as Usher Syndrome. It is something I was born with, and there is no known cure. I am deaf, I wear two hearing aids and I have poor periperhal and nighttime vision.  I may eventually go blind.

At the moment my vision is stable and I am making the most of every opportunity!

While Usher Syndrome is not something we can prevent, like other forms of blindness, any funds and research that assist with avoiding blindness is something that I am keen to shine a spotlight on!

And why not get fit at the same time.  Ive never been a great runner, but reckon with the help of friends and family, I can walk 30km along the stunning Victorian coastline.

So please sponsor me!

Photo: This is a photo of me skiing last year, first time in about 8-9 years and under the guidance of an adaptive ski instructor. Had a blast and cant wait to do it again this year!

Thank you to my Sponsors
