Thank you so much for your patience and support over these past few days and weeks.
In light of the government’s latest announcement, which advises against all non-essential activities and strongly encourages stringent social distancing measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have no alternative but to postpone Sydney Coastrek 2020.
This means our virtual event format is also unable to go ahead from Friday.
We know this will be disappointing for many of you. We are extremely disappointed too.
Our team has been working as hard as they can to come up with ways to support you through the next few months. We know that movement, nature, connection and gratefulness are powerful tools to help us through the coming challenges, and we hope you can use the lessons you learned during your Coastrek training to help you manage your health and wellbeing through this time until we can walk together again.
All Coastrekkers who are registered for Sydney (including those of you who have already been in touch regarding your choice of virtual and rollover options) will have a number of options pertaining to your registration and fundraising, which will be sent out via email. Please bear with us, we understand there will be questions regarding the Sydney event postponement and answers to these will be coming as soon as we have them.
We also acknowledge the efforts you have achieved with your fundraising to date which will make a great difference to Beyond Blue and supporting people who need the 24/7 Support Service now more than ever. Beyond Blue will be in touch to acknowledge the impact you have made to mental health in Australia.
We know you have questions. We’re doing our very best to make sure you have answers, which we will be posting here. Please keep in mind this is a constantly evolving situation and we will continue to update this blog with answers as soon as we have them.
Remember, tough times pass. We are all in this together.
